Tyrannosaurus Rex is among the six animatronic roaring, spitting dinosaurs that invade the Aquarium’s garden areas this year. Meticulously crafted and lifelike, these prehistoric beasts are known crowd-pleasers. They also remind us that extinction is forever! The exhibit is seasonal—only displayed through September.
Seasonal exhibits like Dinosaurs! can offer an attendance boost to facilities who lease them, and the other NC Aquariums at Roanoke Island and Pine Knoll Shores have each had great success with similar displays. Most important, visitors understand that the Aquariums are always developing new experiences, which can translate into repeat visitation and brand loyalty.

Move in day at the Aquarium.

  • Seasonal Exhibit for 2016, opening in March and closing September 30.

  • Six dinosaurs have been installed, including T-Rex

  • The dinosaurs are built and leased by Billings Productions from Allen, Texas.

  • No additional visitor fees are charged for the experience.

  • The Aquariums’ summer marketing theme is “Dinosaurs & Butterflies.”

Sponsorship of this exhibit has a term of one year. The sponsor will be recognized with appropriate signage at the exhibit for this term. Additionally, named recognition is provided on permanent displays at all three NC Aquariums.
