OUTREACH GRANT AWARDED
The Outer Banks Community Foundation has awarded Roanoke Island a Community Engagement Grant designed to take the Aquarium to the community! The grant will be used to fund presentation of programs designed to reach a variety of audiences. This programming will include demonstration booths at public events frequented by families, special programs for senior adults at assorted communities, summer library programs at the three county libraries, and trainings for realtors and county employees. Many of these programs will be held in conjunction with other state agencies and conservation groups in Dare County.
Our outreach programs offer numerous topics for all ages and groups of varying sizes. Each program provides interactive opportunities to learn about the many animals and plants that inhabit our coastal environment. Learn more.
