Aquarium Employees Recognized with Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Breakfast
On August 27 staff at the Aquarium were honored with a delicious appreciation breakfast and exciting annual awards ceremony. Employees at the Aquarium submitted 18 award nominees for their outstanding efforts in departments across the Aquarium.
The Sea Star Customer Service Award recipient is Alexis “Lexi” McCallum. Ms. McCallum is a security guard known for her commitment to the Aquarium, guests, and the Aquarium team because of her cheerful attitude, unwavering attentiveness, understanding of all departments, and her ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
The Award of Excellence recipient is William “Billy” Griffin. Mr. Griffin oversees all grass and yard maintenance at the Aquarium including weed eating and edging both public and behind-the-scenes areas. His meticulous attention to detail, timing, and teamwork is deeply valued by the Aquarium team.
