Ton of Love Food Drive

Love is in the air at the Aquarium! 🌬️💕🐠 Our yearly Ton of Love Food Drive begins February 1st! Throughout the entire month of February, drop off non-perishable and unexpired food items at the Aquarium to help meet our goal of collecting ONE TON of food for the Roanoke Island Food Pantry in Manteo. 

 

For each donated grocery bag of food items, visitors will receive one complimentary admission ticket per reservation. When making a ticket reservation online, choose the “complimentary ticket” option for the *Ton of Love Food Drive* and bring a grocery bag of food at arrival! **One grocery bag of food is equal to one admission ticket.**

 

Food donations (unexpired!) received at the Aquarium during February will help the Roanoke Island Food Pantry restock its shelves after the goodwill of the holiday season. The most requested items include canned fruits, cereal, canned tuna, and pasta sauce. 

School’s Out Day Camps

School’s Out at the Aquarium! Registration is open for Day Camps for children ages 6 - 12! 🙌 🐟 🐢 🐍🎨 🤸‍ The NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island is committed to offering environmentally focused camps, utilizing interactive games, crafts, ambassador animals, and hands-on discovery tools. 😄 Click the “Day Camps” button to learn more and to register. Upcoming camps are scheduled for February and April:

🗓️ February 10 - SenSEAtional Sharks, ages 9 -12

🗓️ February 17 - Toads, Frogs and Salamanders, ages 6-8

🗓️ April 24 - Coastal Trotters, ages 9-12

🗓️ April 25 - Nature Play, ages 6-8

🗓️ April 28 - Sea Turtle Hatchlings, ages 6-8

Birthday Parties

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a unique party at the Aquarium! 🧁🌟🛍️🪸🦦 Our two-hour birthday party package includes a fun-filled animal education program of your choice with a take-home craft, private use of our classroom facilities for refreshments and gift exchange, and a self-guided tour through the Aquarium.
