Summer 2025 Internships

We're hiring College Interns for Summer 2025! Deadlines are fast approaching for the State of NC Internships and the HBCU & MIHE Internship Program at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island.

College students can explore their aquatic interests and gain practical work experience through an internship. Interns are an integral part of our staff and assist with all aspects of Aquarium operations. Our internships last for 10 weeks with possible evening, weekend, and holiday work required. All Internships at the Aquarium are in person and participants must be at least 18 years old. The deadlines to apply are January 6 and 10.

School’s Out Day Camps

School’s Out at the Aquarium! Registration is open for our winter Day Camps for children ages 6 - 12! The NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island is committed to offering environmentally-focused camps, utilizing interactive games, crafts, ambassador animals and other hands-on discovery tools.
