Party for the Planet

We're continuing our Party for the Planet series on Endangered Species Day May 17. Learn about the endangered species we take care of and join our Green Team competition! Choose from three teams to learn how everyday sustainable actions can help impact our environments and help those species in need!

We'll have themed programs and in-house activities 9a.m.- 5p.m. during Endangered Species Day at the Aquarium.

Celebrate Animals in May

May is full of fun days to celebrate! Amphibian Week is May 5-11 and Salamander Saturday is May 4. Visit the Aquarium and see our new ephemeral pond habitat that features endangered gopher frog tadpoles and spade foot toads.

North Carolina is home to many birds. Some live here year-round while others only pass through. World Migratory Bird Day is May 11 and Black Birders Week is May 26-June 1.

World Otter Day is May 29. Visit our river otters Pee Dee, Rocky and Eno and Neuse.

First to Know

Be the first to sign up for our special events starting in June. We're bringing back Family Paint Nights and our 21+ Sip and Paint. Paint sea stars, a cool shark or a classy sea turtle.
