Dream of Summer (Camps)

The Special Activities team is hard at work planning 2024 summer camps! Time to start dreaming of longer days and endless outdoor play. Camp options will be available on the website in mid-March, and registration will open on Monday, April 1, at 9:00 a.m.

Celebrate Black History:

The Aquarium is honored to share hallowed ground with the gravesite of Captain Richard Etheridge of the Pea Island Lifesavers. The incredible story of the first all-black lifesaving station and the amazing number of rescues they achieved shouldn’t be missed. The graveyard and interpretive panels just outside our entrance can be visited at any time to learn the unforgettable story. Inside the Aquarium, a series of portraits by local artist James Melvin portrays the life of these men.
