CARNIVAL TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE

We'll being hosting our second Carnival to Combat Climate Change April 29. The free event will feature science and conservation leaders from across the state talking about ocean conservation and how climate change can effect our ocean. We'll have speakers to talk about shark science, carnival games, and take-home crafts. Designed for youth by our youth team, learn actions that can help lessen climate changes impacts on our communities. Event is Free with Admission or Membership.

TEACHER WORKSHOP FOR A CLIMATE CLASSROOM

Teachers of grades 3-12, join our educators for a free teacher workshop that will help bring climate science understanding to your classroom. Learn how to effectively introduce your students to climate science and how changes to our global environment are impacting our communities. We will use teaching tools provided by North Carolina Aquariums, NOAA, and other community partners to improve your and your students’ climate science literacy and build a solid foundation for continuous education on the subject.

RAISE A GLASS FOR SHARKS

Celebrate this charismatic and toothy animal during Suds for Sharks, a shark conservation fundraiser 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. May 19 at Crystal Coast Brewing Company in Atlantic Beach, which includes a silent auction of shark-themed swag. Visit our website for more information on the event and its guest speakers. Suds for Sharks is part of our Party for the Planet Celebration - where we celebrate Earth Day Every Day.
