EARTH DAY, EVERY DAY

Celebrate Earth Day at the Aquarium during daily programing focusing on sustainability and how our actions can impact the earth for the better. We'll have programs and crafts April 22 in the classroom. We'll also have nature themed events and programs throughout April.

CITY NATURE CHALLENGE

Take pictures of wild animals and plants April 28 through May 2 and share them online for the City Nature Challenge during a "bioblitz." Step up and celebrate nature!

CARNIVAL TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE

We'll being hosting our second Carnival to Combat Climate Change April 29. The event will feature science and conservation leaders from across the state talking about climate change and actions we can take to lessen its impacts on our communities. Enjoy activities, carnival games, and music.

TEACHER WORKSHOP FOR A CLIMATE CLASSROOM

Teachers of grades 3-12 can join our educators for a free teacher workshop that will help bring climate science understanding to your classroom. Learn how to effectively introduce your students to climate science and how changes to our global environment are impacting our communities. We will use teaching tools provided by North Carolina Aquariums, NOAA, and other community partners to improve your and your students’ climate science literacy and build a solid foundation for continuing education on the subject.
