April 2024

You can do more and we make it easy to be green! The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher invites you to the Community Croak for Conservation and Race for the Planet this April.

Community Croak for Conservation on Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m. to noon is a great way for visitors to hear loud and clear how they can and why they should protect frogs. The 2-hour event is an opportunity for anyone in the community to dive into the world of frogs, immerse in their conservation and get a splash about the Aquarium's work to preserve these amphibians. The experience is included with an Aquarium visit. Online tickets are required ahead of a trip to the Aquarium.

Race for the Planet on Sunday, April 21 at 8 a.m. is the perfect inspiration to get moving for the Earth. It’s the greenest race in the Cape Fear along the picturesque Fort Fisher shore. All race proceeds support the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher’s Green Team through the NC Aquarium Society! With one mission, the Aquarium offers three race options—a 5K, a 1-mile fun run and a virtual 5K from April 21-28. Racers can join from anywhere on Earth!

NC Aquarium Members receive a 10% discount on Race for the Planet Registration. When registering, please enter code: NCAFFMember.
