With ocean water temperatures warming up ever so slowly, anglers are eager for the spring fishing season, which traditionally produces catches of shad, northern puffer, sea mullet and drum.
With the season change in mind, Jennette’s Pier increases its hours of operation to 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. this month, and then goes to 6 a.m. to midnight next month for the entire summer season.
The bathhouse also opens, and soon our beaches will be dotted by sunbathers, sandy children playing, and folks braving the still-chilly sea.
Our Education Department has brought back in-person summer camps where campers can learn to fish, surf, and explore science. Registration opens Monday, April 5, at 9 a.m. Our environmental educators also offer a variety of virtual programming. Click below to see the selections!
We are also pleased to say plenty of couples have signed up to host their wedding receptions in Oceanview Hall this spring, summer and fall.
Hey, picture this: Get married on the beach, and then chill with friends and family in air-conditioned comfort while celebrating your big day — all with ocean views from the Pier’s third-story banquet hall.
So many reasons to check out Jennette’s Pier in April!
