On November 11, we are grateful to be able to honor military service members with free admission on Veterans Day for all veteran, active, reserve, or retired members of the U.S. military with valid service identification or proof of service. The policy applies as well for spouses and dependents of those who qualify. Pre-reserved tickets are still required and available through the Aquariums online ticket-sales link.
We will be closed Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving Day! There are only two days a year that the North Carolina Aquariums close for holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas. Otherwise we are open seven days a week, all year long!
Did you know you can meet our animals and educators online? Virtual Programs offer exciting encounters for your private event or for your own adventure. Sign up online for a wide variety of fun and science. And check out the new Creature Connections collaboration with the Aquarium at Fort Fisher and the North Carolina Zoo. The virtual program highlights native North Carolina animal species, wildlife conservation, and how the zoo and the aquariums create enriching homes for animals in their care.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, we are so thankful for all of our guests who have stuck by us as we converted to online-only ticketing. We’ve made it easy for you to reserve your arrival time and pay for tickets online. Even if you are an Aquarium Society Member, make sure to reserve your visit! The holiday season is a busy time at the aquariums, and some days are likely to sell out.
