The North Carolina Aquariums are committed to caring for sick or stranded sea turtles. Our team works with sea turtle stranding networks, nesting beach patrols and other aquariums and sea turtle rehabilitation facilities to help these animals. Many of the sick turtles arrive in the colder months of fall and winter. It’s a day of discovery for children and adults living with disabilities, and their families too. Sensory Day offers activities and programs throughout the event, included with admission, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Hugs and Fishes Valentine's Lock-In is "o-FISH-ally" a kids-only sleepover. Games, crafts and live-animal encounters offer children, 5-12, a safe and supervised night at the aquarium. Hurry and preregister for Feb. 14 or 15, as space is limited.
