December 2019

How do we holiday? Let’s count the ways….

One jolly elf spreads good cheer during Santa’s Magical Morning. Delight in story time with Mrs. Claus, aquatic friends swimming with Santa, and a wrapped gift given by St. Nick to his little guests — it's selected just for the child. Advance ticketing, with limited space, Dec. 7.

Two hatchling loggerhead sea turtles in our care need names, and you can help. Cast a vote for your favorite by Dec. 3.

Three Holiday Elf Camps help parents sleigh the holiday hustle and bustle. Campers, 5 to 12, craft gifts, make memories and more Dec. 7, 14, 21. Preregistration is required.

Four (and more) ballet dancers enchant under the sea during Clara’s Aquarium Party. Guests experience dreamy dance performances and autograph opportunities with characters from the Great Wilmington Nutcracker performed by the U.S. International Ballet. Advance ticketing required for the Dec. 5 event.

Five (x 10) equals 50+ dazzling trees making the aquarium merry and bright at Lower Cape Fear Hospice’s 2019 Festival of Trees. Stroll through the decked halls through Jan. 2 with Aquarium admission.

The Aquarium is closed Dec. 25 and the conservatory is closed for repairs and renovations into spring 2020, with general admission reduced by $3.
