The theme for this year’s Homeschool Day, Sept. 19, is “Investigation Discovery.” Admission and most activities are free for homeschool families; behind-the-scenes tours and other additional programs are discounted.
The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores will host a second iteration of Sea Stars and Stripes as a way to salute active military and their families. The event, held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, is specifically designed for currently serving military who have young children.
