April 2019

JOYS OF SPRING

It’s time to spread our wings! Fins and feathers flock together when Lorikeet Landing reopens. The interactive experience is no flight of fancy. Guests visit and feed these small tropical birds as they flutter and fly. Opens April 19, with additional ticketing required.

Springtime rolls along with a favorite Aquarium tradition. Alligator Egg Hunt is no garden-variety bunny hop. Meet a baby alligator and hunt for candy-filled eggs. The fun is scaled for those aged 3-10, with limited space available. Reservations are required April 13, 19 and 20.

The 5K Race for the Planet gives you a run with a view and a cause. The family-friendly event offers a flat, fast course along the Atlantic. Proceeds benefit Aquarium conservation efforts. Register soon for the Sunday, April 28 event.

Volunteers make a difference at the aquarium. Read more about the serious dedication of several special volunteers. Do you know a teen interested in summer volunteering? Applications are due by April 25.

Time to make summer plans for your young explorers, too. Aquarium Summer Camp gives them an opportunity to go beneath the surface and learn more. Themes change weekly for campers 5-16. Registration is open and space is limited.
