Make your first memories of 2018 with us! See Aquarium pals Pungo, Neuse and Eno, the white sea turtle Nimbus, and all your other animal friends here, New Year’s Day. The Aquarium is open normal operating hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 1.
Other great events to kick off the new year include free admission and a food drive Jan. 15, the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the local food pantry, but donations are not required for free admission.
If you like to start from the beginning and catch your own fish, registration is open for Get Hooked Fishing School, March 17.
We have a secret. There is something really, really big coming to the Aquarium this summer, and we are so super excited that we wanted to give you some hints. Some are 40 feet long. Some can be found in water. Some stand 30 feet tall. Can you guess ... Shhh. Don’t tell. Follow us on Facebook for more details.
