Whispered wishes among the fishes bring holiday magic to the Aquarium’s Santa by the Sea on Dec. 9. Tickets will be sold the day of event, on-site only. Adults paying regular admission need not pay for an event ticket unless they desire to participate in activities. Tickets include a photo of each child 12 and under with Santa, plus crafts and other seasonal fun. For an additional fee, youth can hop on sleds and slide downhill in a snow-filled sledding area.
Holiday Camps registration is now open. Participants enjoy outdoor activities, animal interactions, discovery labs and behind the scenes action. Limited spaces available, preregistration and payment required. $40 per day. Camps are 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 for grades 1-2; Dec. 28 for grades 3-4; Dec. 29 for grades 5-6.
Pssst. Tell a teacher about Aquarium Scholars. It's a new mini-grant program that allows students from Title Ⅰ schools the opportunity to visit or have the Aquarium come to them. Deadline for this year’s scholar grants is Dec. 17.
Look for diving elves and even Santa himself in the Living Shipwreck late this month.
The Aquarium closes Dec. 25, but is open the rest of the holiday season, including New Year’s Day.
