The Aquarium is open 9–5 on Labor Day, Sept. 4. Our fall activities lineup starts Sept. 5 with behind-the-scenes tours, stand-up paddle boarding sessions, paddling trips and surf fishing lessons. For more in-depth insight on catching fish, plan for the Surf Fishing Workshop, Oct. 13-15. Fees required for programs.

The theme for this year’s Homeschool Day, set for Sept. 14, is “Barrier Island Exploration,” and focuses on three barrier island habitats. For homeschool families this day, admission and many activities are free.

Register for a livestream educational webcast with NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources to explore the history of Blackbeard's flagship the Queen Anne's Revenge. The program will be held online on September 21 at 11 a.m. Ask archaeologists questions in real time as they dive on location at the Queen Anne's Revenge habitat at the Aquarium.
